Algeria head coach Vladimir Petković has reportedly decided to recall Youcef Belaïli for the upcoming 2026 World Cup qualifiers against Botswana and Mozambique on March 21 and 25.
This marks a potential turning point for the winger, who has been absent from the national team since the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).
The Espérance de Tunis forward received a pre-selection call-up on Tuesday, with strong indications that he will be included in the final squad list.
If confirmed, this would be the first time Petković has called up Belaïli since taking charge of the Greens in February 2024.
