French forward Mathys Tel has disclosed that Senegalese attacker Sadio Mane is his role model.
The young striker spent time with the former African Player of the Year at German Bundesliga side Bayern Munich a few years ago.
Opening up on the one season they spent together, Mathys Tel said Sadio Mane worked hard every day.
“He worked hard every day, before and after the game. He is a role model for me,” Mathys Tel told TNT Sports in an interview.
After his short stint in Germany, Sadio Mane signed for Al Nassr and has been playing in the Saudi Pro League since.
For Mathys Tel, he is currently on loan at the English Premier League club, Tottenham Hotspur.
He has had a difficult start to life in the new environment but hopes for a strong finish the stand a chance of a permanent move at the end of the 2024/25 football season.
