The Congolese defender delivered a solid performance at the heart of Volendam’s defence, contributing to his side’s third consecutive win following two heavy defeats.
The result keeps Volendam at the top of the Eerste Divisie table with 58 points.
Despite Helmond Sport posing a threat, Volendam capitalised on their chances with clinical finishing, demonstrating their resilience after recent setbacks.
Mbuyamba’s composure and defensive discipline helped his side neutralise the visitors’ attacks.
The win allows Volendam to maintain their lead in the standings as they continue their pursuit of promotion.
