Al Ahly has brushed off reports linking the club to a move for highly-rated Cameroonian youth striker Frank Mavani Loma.
Club sources revealed to Kawoura that while Mavani Loma’s name was noted and admired by the club’s football department, no official negotiations have taken place.
The sources emphasized that Al Ahly’s scouting team continuously monitors emerging talents across various competitions but has not pursued talks for the young forward.
Mavani Loma made a strong impression in the African qualifiers, playing a key role in Ballada’s successful bid to reach the U-17 Africa Cup of Nations. His performances turned heads, with some even likening him to Cameroon legend Samuel Eto’o.
The prolific striker finished as the U-17 Championship’s top scorer with seven goals in Cameroon’s colors. However, sources added that French and Spanish clubs have already expressed concrete interest, and the player himself is keen on exploring a move to Europe.
