Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti has opened up on the defensive responsibility of star forward Vinicius Jr.
Although the Brazilian winger in the past had been criticised for his low work ethic when it comes to defending, that has improved significantly this season.
According to Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti, he has had a talk with the forward and all his players at the club on the need to contribute defensively.
Speaking ahead of the match against Real Sociedad, the manager said neither Vinicius nor any of his players have a problem with playing a role to help the backline.
“We have talked about it many times. Not just with Vinicius, with everyone. And they agreed.
“The chip has obviously changed in the last few games. Since the game against Atleti, the defensive improvement has been evident,” Carlo Ancelotti.
Meanwhile, Vinicius Jr has stressed his commitment to Real Madrid, putting to bed speculations about a possible departure next summer.
