Bologna’s recent 2-1 victory over AC Milan in Serie A was highlighted by a decisive goal from forward Dan Ndoye, whose performance has been instrumental in the team’s ascent to sixth place in the league standings.
Ndoye, a 24-year-old Swiss international with Senegalese roots, has been a consistent presence for Bologna this season.
Since joining from Basel in August 2023, he has made 31 appearances in the 2024/2025 season, scored six goals and provided two assists.
In the recent triumph over AC Milan, Ndoye expressed his delight, stating,”A wonderful match, this city is special and we deserved to win.
“He (Castro) works hard for the team, we are lucky to have him with us.”
Castro, who also scored in the game said: “A beautiful evening, these people deserved it and also the group that is of a great level.
“In the first half we didn’t deserve to be behind. We are one with the city and we all go together for a single goal.”
On Ndoye, Castro also stated: “He works hard, he’s great on and off the pitch.”
