Former Nigerian international Dosu Joseph has applauded Ajibona Usman’s transfer to Armenian side Charentsavan FC, describing it as a well-earned step forward in his career.
Usman, who gained recognition during his time at Vista Gelendzhik Academy in Russia, has now secured a move to Armenia, a transition Joseph believes will further his development.
Taking to Facebook, the 1996 Olympic gold medallist extended his best wishes to the young player.
“Congratulations on this well-deserved transfer, may Armenia be a blessing to you. Keep carrying the flag high, may God bless your starting point… Amen,” Joseph wrote in his post.
The former Super Eagles goalkeeper emphasized Usman’s potential, noting that his performances in Russia had already hinted at a bright future in the game.
His consistent displays at Vista Gelendzhik Academy drew attention from various clubs, and his former coach had previously predicted a successful career for the Nigerian.
Usman’s move to Charentsavan FC marks a crucial phase in his football journey, as he looks to establish himself in Armenia and continue his rise in international football.
