The manager of Al-Ittihad, Laurent Blanc has drawn a striking comparison between French strikers Karim Benzema and Kylian Mbappe.
Benzema, a former Real Madrid hero with Algerian roots has been outstanding for Al-Ittihad this season. The veteran has 16 goals and seven assists so far this season.
Laurent Blanc believes Benzema is like the Mbappe of today at Real Madrid.
“He has always scored in his career, when he was young in Lyon, in Madrid and now here. And he scores a lot. I hope for us, for him and for the fans that he will continue to play for another three or four years.
“Karim is like Mbappé today, he’s a scoring machine,” Karim Benzema said after the Saudi Pro League game against Al-Hilal.
Laurent Blanc believes any manager will be lucky to have Benzema as his striker.
“When you’re lucky enough to have a scorer like Karim, or like Cristiano Ronaldo in your team, you’re lucky,” Blanc said.
