Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah has opened up on comparison with Manchester City striker Erling Haaland.
According to him, the Norwegian attacker’s life as a striker is easier compared to him who plays as a winger.
Speaking to Sky Germany, Salah indicated that he has respect for Haaland but believes his numbers as a winger are difficult to achieve compared to someone who is a striker.
“I respect him a lot. We may have only spoken once after the last game. But he’s a striker, so his life is easier. I wish him all the best, of course.
“But his life is easy because he plays as a striker,” Mohamed Salah said.
The Egyptian winger continued, “As a winger, getting that kind of quota is pretty difficult. Any winger can tell you that. That’s why I see it differently between us, because he’s a striker and I’m a winger.”
Salah is currently the top scorer in the English Premier League with 24 goals and 15 assists.
Haaland follows in second on the goal king chart with 19 goals and three assists.
