Former Al Hilal defender Turki Al-Suwaileh has praised Moroccan goalkeeper Yassine Bounou, calling him the best shot-stopper in the Saudi Pro League.
Bounou has been a key figure for Al Hilal this season, delivering standout performances between the posts.
In an interview with Kooora, Al-Suwaileh shared his thoughts on Al Hilal’s highly anticipated clash against Al-Ittihad.
“The scales will be balanced, and Al-Hilal will have more possession and will excel by creating many opportunities, while Al-Ittihad will threaten the leader’s goal through the few opportunities, but they will be more dangerous.”
He also defended Bounou against recent criticism, reaffirming his quality and ability to rise to the occasion in big matches.
“Yassin Bounou is the best in the league, and despite the criticism directed at him due to his low level, he is a great player, and great players regain their health in big matches.”
Al-Ittihad will host Al Hilal in a high-stakes showdown in the 21st round of the Roshn Professional League at Al-Enma Stadium.
Currently leading the table with 52 points, Al-Ittihad holds a four-point advantage over second-placed Al Hilal. A victory would further strengthen their position at the top.
Kick-off is set for 18:15 PM.
