France defender of Mali descent, Ibrahima Konaté is looking forward to Liverpool’s clash against Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) in the Uefa Champions League knockout stage.
The draw for the Round 16 stage of the European competition was held on Friday, February 21.
At the end of the draw, Liverpool must prepare for a two-legged tie against PSG in what will be an interesting match-up.
Speaking in an interview with Téléfoot, Ibrahima Konaté who grew up in Paris said it will be great to face PSG.
“It would be great, on a personal level, to face PSG in the Champions League,” Ibrahima Konaté said.
The 25-year-old defender and his Liverpool teammates must now prepare well for the two-legged fixture scheduled for March.
The team must be at its best to stand the chance of advancing to the quarter-final stage.
PSG have been in form in recent weeks and will also fancy their chances of overcoming the Reds to secure the last eight stage slot.
