Beninese international Rabiou Jr Sankamao has signed a one-year contract with Wydad Athletic Club of Fez, leaving Aspac FC for the Moroccan second division side.
The left-back, who represented Benin at the 2023 U20 Africa Cup of Nations and made his senior debut in March 2023, has faced a period of uncertainty following unsuccessful trials.
Sankamao will now play alongside fellow Beninese defender Mawoussi Alexandre, who has also joined Wydad on a one-and-a-half-year deal.
The move provides the 21-year-old with a fresh opportunity to prove himself in Moroccan football.
