Nigeria’s Nathan Tella nominated for Bayer Leverkusen’s Goal of the Month
Bayer Leverkusen winger Nathan Tella has been shortlisted for the club’s Goal of the Month award for January following his strike in their 3-2 victory over Borussia Dortmund.
The Nigerian international found the net just moments after kickoff at Signal Iduna Park on 10 January, capitalizing on an assist from Robert Andrich to put Xabi Alonso’s side ahead.
A Milestone Goal
Tella’s early strike marked his first goal of the season for Leverkusen, having featured in 16 Bundesliga matches so far.
The 24-year-old has been steadily adapting to life under Alonso, and this nomination highlights his growing influence within the squad.
Tough Competition for the Award
Tella faces stiff competition for the accolade, with Alejandro Grimaldo, Florian Wirtz, and Patrick Schick also in contention.
The winger will be aiming to claim the award for the first time since joining the German club.
