Nigeria international Willian Troost-Ekong has tipped Al Hilal to annex the Saudi Roshen Professional League title at the end of the season.
Al-Hilal currently sit top of the standings but are tied on 46 points with second placed Al Ittihad after 18 matches into the campaign.
Speaking to Saudi newspaper, Ekong, who is the skipper of Al Khlood pointed Al Hilal as the most prominent candidate to win the league title.
“Al-Ittihad is also a strong team and we expected to face difficulties against them despite the two-goal lead, but I see Al-Hilal as the most prominent candidate to win the league title, and let’s not forget that there is also a strong team like Al-Nassr,” said Ekong.
Meanwhile, the 31-year-old Nigeria defender has expressed his joy after scoring against both Al Ittihad and Al Hilal in the top-flight while promising to score more for the club.
