AS Monaco’s pursuit of midfield reinforcements has hit a setback, with Éric Junior Dina Ebimbe’s move from Eintracht Frankfurt collapsing at the final hurdle.
The Principality club had reached an agreement to sign the 24-year-old Frenchman on loan until the end of the season, with an option for a permanent transfer. However, the deal fell apart during the medical examination.
According to reports from RMC Sport and confirmed by Get French Football News, tests revealed a minor calf issue, raising concerns over Dina Ebimbe’s immediate availability. Monaco, in urgent need of reinforcements, decided to pull the plug on the transfer.
The Ligue 1 side had also considered West Ham’s Edson Álvarez before opting for Dina Ebimbe, making the collapse of this deal a significant setback. With the window still open, Monaco may now have to explore alternative options to strengthen their midfield.
According to Transfermarkt, Éric Junior Dina Ebimbe’s current market value is 9,000,000 euros.
