Stellenbosch FC has completed the signing of South African winger Lesiba Nku from Mamelodi Sundowns on a permanent deal, finalizing the transfer on the last day of the Premier Soccer League (PSL) window.
The 28-year-old, known for his pace and attacking flair, arrives at Stellenbosch with significant domestic and continental experience.
He previously played for Marumo Gallants, where he was teammates with current Stellenbosch defender Ismael Touré, before moving to Mamelodi Sundowns, where he won the PSL title and the African Football League.
“Lesiba is a player we have long admired and we are delighted to welcome him to Stellenbosch FC,” said CEO Rob Benadie.
“His arrival reinforces our commitment to enriching the squad with high-calibre talent, and I am confident that his quality will add a new dimension to our attacking options.”
Nku, who will wear the number 7 jersey previously donned by former captain Deano van Rooyen, could make his debut this weekend in a Betway Premiership match against Sekhukhune United.
During his time with Sundowns, Nku made 28 appearances across all competitions, scoring five goals and providing one assist.
Stellenbosch will be hoping his attacking qualities can make an immediate impact as they aim for success in both domestic and continental competitions.
We are delighted to confirm the Deadline Day signing of Lesiba Nku on a permanent transfer from Mamelodi Sundowns ✍️
