Werder Bremen fans may soon see Felix Agu back in action, with coach Ole Werner projecting a potential return for the 25-year-old by mid-February.

Agu rejoined team training on Wednesday after spending over two months sidelined due to a lateral ligament injury in his knee.

“It’s initially positive that he’s part of the team,” Werner shared, acknowledging the player’s gradual reintegration. However, the coach tempered expectations, noting that Agu’s current training is more of a “trial and error” phase, allowing him to reconnect with his teammates on the pitch.

Werner emphasized the need for patience as Agu works toward full fitness. “It’s not the case that he’ll be back in the squad for the next game or the game after that. He’ll still need a bit of time,” Werner explained.

As Werder Bremen prepares to face Borussia Dortmund on Saturday, fans will have to wait a little longer to see their left-back in competitive action. Agu’s anticipated mid-February comeback promises to bring much-needed depth to the Green-Whites’ squad.
