Borussia Dortmund has reignited its interest in Johan Bakayoko, according to Belgian journalist Sacha Tavolieri.

The Bundesliga side is keeping a close watch on the 21-year-old Belgian winger’s situation as they brace for potential departures in the upcoming transfer windows. Following the exit of Donyell Malen to Aston Villa, and with Jamie Gittens’ future uncertain, BVB is eager to bolster its attacking options.

Bakayoko was previously linked with a move to Westphalia, as well as to other Bundesliga clubs like RB Leipzig, but no transfer materialized. The PSV Eindhoven star, who has been with the club since 2019, has enjoyed an impressive season, registering seven goals and three assists in 24 competitive appearances.

With his contract at PSV running until the summer of 2026, this could be the right time for the Dutch club to cash in on their prized winger, allowing Bakayoko to make the leap to a higher-profile league.
