Malmo FF have successfully secured the signing of Swedish international of Nigerian descent Emmanuel Ekong in the ongoing transfer window.
The 18-year-olf forward joins the Swedish outfit from Italian club Empoli and is expected play a huge role for the team.
Ekong leaves Empoli on a permanent transfer worth €1m plus 20 percent sell-on fee of the talented attacker.
Prior to his departure, Ekong made 18 appearances for Empoli in the ongoing campaign, scoring two goals in the process.
The forward originally moved to Empoli from Brommapojkarna as a teenager.
Despite debuting for Sweden youth national teams, Ekong remains eligible to play for Nigeria.
