Liverpool legend, Michael Owen beleives Antoine Semenyo will be a good replacement for Mohamed Salah at the club should the Egyptian leave the club.
Salah’s contract at Anfield will expire in the summer and despite his impressive outings, the former Chelsea attacker is yet to agree a deal with the club. He has been linked to PSG and Saudi clubs.
However, Owen speaking to Premier League productions said Antoine Semenyo has been doing immaculately well with AFC Bournemouth, adding that he will be surprised should Liverpool fail to go for him should Salah leave the club.
“I don’t think Mo Salah will leave this season, but in the event he leaves, I would be surprised if Liverpool don’t consider Semenyo as a replacement,” he said.
Semenyo has been outstanding in the ongoing campaign including scoring against giants Manchester United over the weekend and has currently tallied five goals and provided one assist in 16 league appearances.
Meanwhile, Mohamed Salah has scored 15 times in the Premier League.
