Paris FC in talks to sign Gabon defender Sidney Obissa
French football club Paris FC is reportedly in advanced discussions to sign Gabon international Sidney Obissa as they aim to strengthen their squad.
The 24-year-old central defender, who joined RFC Seraing in Belgium’s Challenger Pro League last summer, seems poised for a fresh start after a challenging stint. Despite his move to Belgium, Obissa has yet to make an appearance for the team, leaving him eager for new opportunities to reignite his career.
Obissa’s manager shared with Gaboneco that the player is expected to head to France soon, with Paris FC emerging as the frontrunner for his signature. The club has shown interest in the defender over the past few days, and negotiations are said to be progressing positively.
This potential move aligns with Obissa’s desire for more playing time and a chance to reestablish himself on the pitch. After previously featuring for AC Ajaccio, the Gabonese defender is looking to overcome his recent challenges and rediscover his form.
Valued at €200,000 on Transfermarkt, Obissa could soon don the colours of Paris FC, marking a pivotal step in his career.
An agreement is anticipated in the coming days.
