Bukayo Saka dazzled once again, scoring twice as Arsenal dismantled AS Monaco 3-0 in the UEFA Champions League on Wednesday night.
The English-born Nigerian, just 23 years old, is enjoying a sensational season with 21 goal contributions in 23 games, including nine goals. His latest performance cements his status as one of Europe’s brightest young stars.
A product of Arsenal’s academy, Saka has been instrumental for both club and country. He boasts an impressive 247 appearances, 67 goals, and 62 assists for Arsenal, alongside 43 caps and 12 goals for England.
Following the match, Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta was asked if Saka could be considered in the same echelon as Harry Kane and Vinícius Jr. Arteta responded, “You have to be able to do that consistently for many years to be in that position.”
He continued, “What he’s done at his age, you can put in brackets because you can compare what he’s done in his first six years of professional football, which is exceptional. That’s it. His aim is to improve. He has the players and the environment around him to continue to do and I’m sure that he will.”
For Saka, the sky’s the limit.
