Egyptian giants Al Ahly will have to negotiate for points without their influential goalkeeper Mostafa Shobeir when they take on Orlando Pirates in the CAF Champions League.
The 24-year-old Egyptian goalkeeper sustained a torn hamstring injury at training. Following a successful medical examination, the enterprising goalkeeper has been sidelined for a month.
Shobeir will, however, missed Al Ahly’s upcoming CAF Champions League clash against South African side Orlando Pirates.
His absence come as a huge blow for the coach Marcel Koller as the team prepare for crunch encounter.
The much-anticipated clash has been scheduled for Saturday, December 7, 2024 at Orlando Stadium.
The Egyptian powerhouse commenced the group phase of the Champions League on a good note, defeating Stade d’Abidjan 4-2 at the Cairo International Stadium.
