Amine Gouiri’s future at Stade Rennais looks increasingly uncertain as the Algerian striker considers a move away from the Ligue 1 side. Once a pivotal player for Rennes, Gouiri has seen his role diminish this season, a situation that has left the 23-year-old deeply dissatisfied. According to reports in the French media, the forward had expected to take on a leadership position within the squad, but his reduced involvement has prompted him to explore new opportunities.

Two Bundesliga giants, Bayer Leverkusen and RB Leipzig, have reportedly taken a keen interest in Gouiri’s situation.

Sources from Africafoot suggest that both clubs are actively monitoring the player’s potential availability, with a view to making a move during the upcoming winter transfer window.

Leverkusen, the reigning German champions, and Leipzig, currently second in the Bundesliga, are believed to be gathering information ahead of potential bids.

Gouiri’s frustrations with his current status at Rennes could well see him make a switch to Germany.

Both Leverkusen and Leipzig are in need of attacking reinforcements, and Gouiri’s versatility as a forward makes him an attractive option for these clubs.

While no formal offers have been submitted yet, it is expected that interest will materialize into concrete action when the transfer window opens in January.

This isn’t the first time Gouiri has been linked with a move abroad. During the summer transfer window, the striker was reportedly a target for West Ham United in the Premier League and FC Girona in Spain.

However, after being promised a central role at Rennes, he chose to remain in France to continue his development with the club.

That decision now seems to be in question as the player grows increasingly unsettled.

Should a move to the Bundesliga materialize, it could mark a significant turning point in Gouiri’s career.

At just 23 years old, the forward has already shown immense potential, and a transfer to one of Germany’s top sides could provide him with the platform to establish himself among Europe’s elite.

As the winter window approaches, all eyes will be on Stade Rennais to see whether they can convince Gouiri to stay or if the allure of the Bundesliga proves too tempting to resist.
