Togo concluded its preparations for the 2013 football CAN with a 2-1 victory against Niger in a friendly match at the Kegué stadium. This marked Togo’s fourth and final friendly match before the start of the competition. In summary, Togo achieved three victories and suffered one defeat in their preparation matches under the guidance of coach Didier Six. The Sparrowhawks secured wins against Morocco (1-0) and Oman (1-0), while the double confrontation with Niger ended in a defeat and a victory (1-3 in the first leg and 2-1 in the return). With these results, Togo aims to be well-prepared for the challenges in Group D, where they will face Ivory Coast, Algeria, and Tunisia.
