Sudan and Ghana are set to face off once again in their next 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) Group F qualifier at the Martyrs of February Stadium on Tuesday, following a goalless draw in their previous encounter. Kick-off is scheduled for 3:00 PM CAT.

In their last meeting, held at the Accra Sports Stadium this past Thursday, both sides struggled to find the back of the net, leaving Ghana frustrated after a dominant performance that failed to yield a victory.

The 0-0 draw leaves Ghana in third place in Group F after three matches, trailing behind Sudan and table-toppers Angola.

For Sudan, the result places them in second, five points adrift of Angola, but they remain optimistic heading into Tuesday’s match.

Originally scheduled to take place in Sudan, the game has been moved to Benghazi, Libya, due to security concerns in the country.

Sudan’s head coach, James Kwasi Appiah, expressed satisfaction with the away draw in Accra and is confident of securing a big win in the return fixture.

“It was a difficult game, but we managed to fight and get a draw,” Appiah said after the match.

“Now, we go to Benghazi. It won’t be easy, but Inshallah, we are going to fight and ensure we get a big victory for Sudan.”

Ghana, on the other hand, is determined to make amends for their lackluster performance in front of goal.

Black Stars coach Otto Addo remains confident in his team’s ability to turn things around on Tuesday.

“I think they’ve shown on every level that they can score,” Addo remarked. “I believe in them, and I’m certain they will find the net in the next game.”

Both teams are expected to field full-strength squads for this crucial tie, as no significant injury concerns have emerged from the previous encounter.

Ghana will be looking to capitalize on their head-to-head advantage, having won three of the last five matches between the two sides.

However, Sudan’s last victory over Ghana, a 1-0 triumph in a 2020 AFCON qualifier at the Al-Hilal Stadium, will give the Falcons of Jediane hope that they can repeat that success.

With AFCON qualification on the line, both teams understand the importance of Tuesday’s match.

Sudan will be aiming to close the gap on Angola, while Ghana looks to move up from third place and revive their chances of making it to the tournament.

For the Black Stars, finding their scoring touch will be key as they seek to claim all three points in Benghazi.
