Saad Allah Yassin promises 5.5 billion dirhams injection upon winning Wydad presidency
Saad Allah Yassin, the candidate for the presidency of Wydad Athletic Club’s board of directors, has pledged an immediate injection of 5.5 billion dirhams into the club upon his election as president.
Speaking in a radio statement, Yassin declared, “I have a bank cheque confirming the mentioned amount endorsed by the banking agency, which I will reveal at the general assembly before the voting.
Once elected president, I will hand it over to the club’s treasurer to be deposited into the club’s account.”
This promise comes amidst fierce competition for the leadership of Wydad, with rival candidates also making substantial financial commitments.
Hicham Ait Menna pledged 500 million dirhams upon his election, while Anas Krami, another candidate, vowed to contribute 300 million dirhams to assist the team in managing the early season expenses.
Yassin’s commitment of such a substantial amount significantly raises the stakes in the competition for the club’s leadership.
Saad Allah Yassin has been involved in Wydad’s administration under the leadership of Abdelilah Akram, serving in the youth and marketing committees.
His candidacy enjoys support from Akram and his loyalists among the club’s members.
The election for the presidency of Wydad Athletic Club is anticipated to be highly competitive, with financial pledges playing a crucial role in swaying the votes of the club’s members.
Yassin’s promise of a significant financial injection aims to bolster the club’s financial stability and support its ambitions in domestic and international competitions.
As the election date approaches, all eyes are on the candidates as they vie for the opportunity to lead one of Morocco’s most prestigious football clubs into a new era of growth and success.
