The Togolese Football Federation (FTF) has announced a three-year extension of its partnership with telecommunications giant Togocom, aimed at advancing football development in Togo.
The renewal of the agreement, which binds the FTF and Togocom until 2027, was formalized at a signing ceremony held at Togocom’s headquarters this Friday.
Colonel Guy Kossi AKPOVY, representing the FTF, expressed his satisfaction with the continued collaboration.
“We are delighted that Togocom, a major Togolese company, has chosen to extend its partnership with the FTF.
This relationship, which began in 2020, has been pivotal in our efforts to promote and develop national football while also showcasing digital and electronic services,” Colonel AKPOVY stated.
Pierre-Antoine LEGAGNEUR, Managing Director of Togocom, emphasized the positive outcomes of their collaboration over the past four years and their commitment to further support Togo’s football aspirations.
“We are pleased to renew our partnership with the Togolese Football Federation following four successful years.
Football holds a special place in Togo, and as the largest operator in the country, it is only fitting that we continue to bolster the FTF’s vision and collaborate extensively,” LEGAGNEUR affirmed.
Togocom has emerged as a key partner of the FTF, extending its support to various initiatives including the Togolese men’s and women’s national teams, the U15 championship, Independence Cup, Togo Cup, and Beach Soccer tournaments since 2020.
While absent from the last three editions of the Africa Cup of Nations (CAN), Togo remains a contender in Group E alongside Liberia, Algeria (African champions in 2019), and Equatorial Guinea.
The upcoming qualifiers for the 2025 AFCON, scheduled from December 21, 2025 to January 18, 2026 in Morocco, will see 48 nations vying for a place in the tournament.
The extension of the FTF-Togocom partnership underscores Togocom’s commitment to supporting football development in Togo, aligning with broader efforts to elevate the country’s footballing prowess on both regional and international stages.
