Speaking on a radio show today, Benabdallah stated, “I can confirm officially that RS Berkane has not contacted or negotiated with any player from Raja or Wydad. These rumors are baseless.”
He clarified that the recent signing of international goalkeeper Munir Mohamedi does not imply further recruitment of other international players.
“Our acquisition of Munir Mohamedi doesn’t mean we’re going to sign more international players.
I don’t know who is spreading these rumors,” he added.
Benabdallah also addressed the departure of several players whose contracts have ended. “Some players, like Baadi and Fahli, have decided to seek new challenges.
Baadi has joined Raja, while I’m not sure about Fahli’s next destination.
Other players like Touissila and the goalkeeper Waad have also left.”
Concluding his remarks, Benabdallah expressed satisfaction with the signing of Munir Mohamedi, emphasizing the goalkeeper’s motives for joining RS Berkane. “We are pleased to have signed a player of Mohamedi’s caliber.
His decision to wear RS Berkane’s jersey was driven more by emotional reasons than financial ones.
He wanted to be close to his roots and was enthusiastic about playing in the professional league.”
RS Berkane’s president remains focused on rebuilding the squad after the departure of key players, and the club is determined to maintain transparency amidst swirling transfer rumors.
This commitment to clarity underscores the club’s dedication to strategic planning and ethical conduct in the transfer market.
