Eswatini’s Veteran referee Petros Mbingo announces retirement

Petros Mbingo, a seasoned assistant referee from Eswatini, has officially announced his retirement after a distinguished 16-year career in Eswatini and African refereeing. This announcement marks the departure of one of the most experienced referees in the country, making Mbingo the third Eswatini referee to retire in recent months.

Mbingo’s retirement comes less than a year after he returned his FIFA badge, signaling the end of his international refereeing journey.

He joins the ranks of other notable Eswatini referees like Letticia Viana and Sifiso Nxumalo, who both retired at the end of the last season.
