The Antelopes of Walya held the Eagles of Carthage to a draw. The two teams, in preparation for the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations, faced each other in Doha (Qatar) on Monday afternoon.
Oussama Darragi opened the scoring in the fourth minute for Tunisia. However, Sami Trabelsi’s team was caught up shortly after the hour mark, with Said Salaheddine equalizing from the penalty spot for Ethiopia. The final score of the match was 1-1.
It’s worth noting that Tunisian central defender Bilal Iffa had to exit the game due to injury towards the end of the first half. Ethiopia, following their victory against Niger, achieved another commendable performance in their preparations. The Walya Antelopes will host Tanzania on January 11.
