Stade Lavallois has announced the departure of Congolese defender Marvin Baudry, who is set to leave the club at the end of the season. Baudry, a key figure in the team for the past three years, has chosen to seek new opportunities, putting himself on the market for a fresh challenge.

Baudry’s departure marks the end of a significant chapter for both the player and the club.

Since joining Stade Lavallois in 2021, the 34-year-old defender has made a notable impact, featuring in 91 matches, scoring six goals, and providing two assists.

His performances have been integral to the team, earning him the respect and admiration of both his teammates and the club’s supporters.

In a heartfelt tribute to Baudry, Stade Lavallois expressed their gratitude on social media. “Thank you, Marvin Baudry! The club would like to warmly thank @marvb90 for his investment and his impact on the field with our Tangos.

We wish you every success in the rest of your career. You will always remain in our hearts, member of the Stade Lavallois family,” the message read.

Baudry’s decision to leave comes at a time when he was not included in the national squad for Congo’s upcoming fixtures against Niger and Morocco in June, under the direction of coach Isaac Ngata.

This omission allows Baudry to focus entirely on his next professional step.

As Baudry departs, Stade Lavallois faces the task of filling the void left by a player who has been a defensive mainstay.

The club and its fans bid farewell to a dedicated player who has contributed significantly over the past three seasons.

For Baudry, this marks the beginning of a new journey, as he explores potential opportunities and continues his professional career.

The football community will undoubtedly watch closely to see where Baudry lands next, as his experience and skill set make him a valuable asset for any prospective club.
