Jimmy Bulus, a defender for the Niger national football team (Menas), has been ruled out of the final phase of the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations (CAN). Bulus, who was present in the last edition of the competition, has been sidelined due to a hand injury that requires surgery. The player is currently in Burkina Faso with his wife.
The technical director of the Menas, Garba Lawali, confirmed Bulus’ absence, and now coach Gernot Rohr will need to reconsider the composition of the squad before its official announcement. Johan Mazadou has been mentioned as a possible replacement, but it remains to be seen who will be included in the final list.
