Bob Bradley, the American coach of the Egyptian national football team, has announced a 25-player squad for a friendly match against Qatar on December 28 in Doha. The squad includes Al Ahly players who recently participated in the Club World Cup in Japan. The Egyptian team is using friendly matches to prepare for the 2014 World Cup qualifiers. In addition to Qatar, Egypt is set to face Ghana and Ivory Coast in the United Arab Emirates in January. Both Ghana and Ivory Coast are preparing for the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations (CAN) in 2013.
