Cameroon play-off down round 7: Royal Aigle – Bamboutos derby ends in stalemate; monday’s results unveiled

The seventh installment of the Cameroon Play-off Down competition concluded on Monday, presenting a mixed bag of results for the participating teams. In a highly anticipated Western duel, Royal Aigle and Bamboutos battled to a draw. Meanwhile, Union Douala and Bamenda emerged victorious against APEJES Académy and Fauve Azur Élite, respectively, while UMS secured a crucial win against Fovu Baham.

The eagerly awaited clash between Royal Aigle and Bamboutos, staged at the Annex Stadium in Yaoundé, lived up to expectations as both teams sought victory at all costs

. With tactical maneuvers from both coaches and determined performances from the players, the match ended in a hard-fought draw (1-1). Following this result, Royal Aigle slipped to sixth place with 9 points, while Bamboutos maintained their second position with 10 points.

Simultaneously, Bamenda claimed three valuable points on the road by defeating APEJES Académy (1-3).

The visitors, known as the Abakwas Boys, outplayed their opponents, leaving APEJES stranded in the eleventh position with 5 points. Bamenda, on the other hand, ascended to third place with 10 points, securing a spot on the podium.

In the afternoon fixture, Union Douala clinched a narrow victory against Fauve Azur Élite, the league leaders displaying resilience to secure a hard-fought 1-0 win. Despite the defeat, Fauve Azur Élite maintains their eighth position with 6 points.

Meanwhile, UMS Loum achieved a commendable victory in the bottom-of-the-table clash against Fovu Baham, securing a 2-0 win.

The triumph sees UMS Loum maintain their eighth-place standing with 6 points, while Fovu Baham remains in tenth place with 5 points.

As the Play-off Down competition progresses, each match outcome adds intrigue to the standings, setting the stage for further drama and excitement in the coming rounds.
