The planned football club strike in France for the weekend of November 30 might be lifted, pending negotiations. The French government has initiated discussions, and the talks have not been halted. Jean Galvany, a socialist deputy and president of a working group on “sustainable football,” has been entrusted with the mission to facilitate these negotiations.
A meeting is scheduled for Wednesday at the headquarters of the French Football Federation to address possible adjustments to the 75% tax. Attendees will include Jean Balkany, Noël Le Graët (president of the FFF), Frédéric Thiriez (president of the LFP), and several club presidents. The outcome of the meeting will determine whether the planned strike will proceed or be called off.
