Morocco international Youssef El-Arabi is edging closer to a move to French Ligue 1 outfit FC Nantes in the ongoing summer transfer window.
El-Arabi is currently undergoing a medical ahead of his imminent move to the French Ligue 1 outfit. The attacker is expected to sign a two-year deal.
The French Ligue 1 outfit are keen on strengthening their squad for the 2025/26 football campaign, prompting the imminent signing of the 38-year-old forward.
The former Caen and Olympiacos striker is close to sealing his return to French football more than a decade after leaving Ligue 1. El-Arabi most recently played for APOEL Nicosia in Cyprus, where he impressed last season with 14 goals and 7 assists in 45 appearances across all competitions.
The Morocco international will join as a free agent following his departure from APOEL Nicosia at the expiration of his contract.
El-Arabi began his professional career in France with Caen before leaving for Al-Hilal in 2011. He later enjoyed a prolific spell in Spain with Granada and became a club legend at Olympiacos in Greece, where he won three league titles and scored over 60 league goals. This included winning the UEFA Conference league in the 2023-2024 season.
