South Africa goalkeeper, Ronwen Williams has indicated that he is expecting a tough encounter against Benin in their 2026 FIFA World Cup qualification match.
Benin will play host to South Africa on Tuesday, March 25, in a Round 6 showdown in Group C.
Speaking ahead of the match, Ronwen Williams said there is no doubt the game will be a difficult one.
“A tough game, a lot of challenges, but the team is strong enough to overcome all these challenges, we’re excited. We know how vital and important this game is for Group C, we know we can open a gap and we know a gap can be closed as well,” Ronwen Williams said.
The Group C showdown between Benin and South Africa is scheduled to take place at Stade Félix Houphouët-Boigny in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire. The encounter will kick off at 16:00gmt.
Both national teams are keen on securing victory to take the top spot in the group standings.
