The Mauritanian Football Federation (MFF) has issued a set of warnings to fans following the launch of ticket sales for their upcoming 2026 World Cup qualifier against the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
Mauritania is set to host DR Congo on Tuesday in a pivotal Matchday 6 encounter at the Stade Municipal de Nouadhibou.
To ensure a smooth ticketing process and prevent fraudulent sales, the MFF began selling tickets at 9:00 PM local time on Sunday, implementing strict regulations to manage distribution fairly.
The federation outlined three key rules for ticket purchases:
Each person is limited to buying a maximum of two tickets.
No tickets will be available for sale near Nouadhibou Stadium on match day.
Fans are strongly advised to buy tickets only from official sales points to avoid fraud and counterfeit tickets.
As the teams prepare for the crucial clash, Mauritania currently sits fifth in the group with two points, while DR Congo holds second place with 10 points, trailing group leaders Sudan by just one point.
