Cameroon failed to extend their dominance in Group D on Wednesday afternoon in the qualifiers for the 2026 FIFA World Cup after drawing goalless with Eswatini.
The Indomitable Lions played as a guest to the opponent on the matchday with the odds favouring the side to cruise to a comfortable victory.
While Cameroon went into the fixture on top of the Group standings, Eswatini went into the game bottom of the log and with no points after losing all four matches previously played.
Despite dominating the game today, Cameroon failed to find the back of the night after 13 shots at goal.
Only four shots were on target with the team’s wastefulness in front of goal resulting in a goalless stalemate.
The result keeps Cameroon at the summit of Group D in the qualifiers for the 2026 FIFA World Cup but only temporarily.
A win for either Libya or Cape Verde in their upcoming Round 5 matches will see either of them overtaking Cameroon at the top of the table.
