The captain of Nigeria’s Super Falcons, Rasheedat Ajibade, has raised concerns about the kind of accommodation provided to players at the 2025 CAF Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON).
The 2025 WAFCON is scheduled to commence in Morocco on Saturday, July 5.
Ahead of the start of the tournament, all the qualified national teams have arrived in Morocco and checked into the residences.
Today, Nigeria captain Rasheedat Ajibade has shared a picture of a room being shared by two players.
The Super Falcons captain in her post criticised the kind of accommodation provided to the players and stressed that women’s football deserves better, especially at such a huge tournament.
“Two professional women’s players in this kitchen-sized room in a prestigious tournament (WAFCON). CAF you can do better. Women’s football deserves better,” she shared.
While Rasheedat Ajibade has openly exposed this accommodation issue in the camp of Nigeria, it is unclear if it is the same for all national teams.
