Al Ahly head coach José Ribeiro rued missed chances on Saturday night after his team’s goalless stalemate against Inter Miami in their opening match of the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup.
Speaking in his post-match interview, Coach José Ribeiro said his team has taken positives from the match and will work on addressing the negatives going forward.
“Our first match in the Club World Cup against Inter Miami witnessed many positive aspects, but at the same time, there were some mistakes, whether in terms of passing or slowness at times, which we will work to avoid in the future. We created clear opportunities and were the better team in the first half, but the unfortunate thing is that we did not score,” Coach José Ribeiro lamented.
He added, “During the second half, it was clear that Miami was improving and getting closer to our goal. Overall, the game could have gone either way.”
After the draw against Inter Miami, Al Ahly are now preparing for the two remaining group games against Palmeiras and FC Porto.
