2025 CAF Awards: Chiamaka Nnadozie makes history with third consecutive Women’s Goalkeeper of the Year award

Chiamaka Nnadozie has reached an incredible milestone, winning her third straight Africa Women’s Goalkeeper of the Year award at the CAF Awards 2025.

The Super Falcons and Brighton star was honored in Rabat, Morocco for her amazing efforts on the pitch with both club and country, outshining Morocco’s Khadija Er-Rmichi and South Africa’s Andile Dlamini on the shortlist.

Nnadozie’s impact this season was undeniable. She played a key role in securing the Super Falcons’ record tenth Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) trophy earlier in the year, further cementing her status as one of Africa’s leading football talents. Since joining Brighton from Paris FC, she’s become a standout presence in the English league, consistently delivering top performances between the posts.

The men’s goalkeeper award went to Morocco’s Yassine Bounou. The CAF Awards night reflected the rise of women’s football on the continent, and Nnadozie’s achievements continue to inspire young African talents and bring pride to Nigerian fans everywhere.
