Former Angolan national team player, Djalma Campos, has admitted that the national team will find it difficult competing in the group stage of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament.
At the 2025 AFCON, Angola has been drawn in Group B and will face off with Egypt, Zimbabwe and South Africa.
Speaking to Koora, Djalma admitted that Angola will not have it easy in the group.
However, he is confident Angola can sail through eventually and go all the win to win the 2025 AFCON.
“Angola has a tough group.. I think we all know the strength of Egypt, but in this competition you have to think about the extra motivation and all the matches will be tough, but I think Angola has a chance to pass the group stage.
“Yes, Angola has a chance to win the title. Our team has strong players. We do not have stars, but we have a team that gives very good results,” Djalma Campos said.
The 2025 AFCON in Morocco is scheduled to start on December 21.
