The dates for the 2024/25 CAF Champions League semifinals have been officially announced.
The quarter-finals wrapped up this week, with defending champions Al Ahly set to face off against their long-time rivals Mamelodi Sundowns, while Orlando Pirates will meet Pyramids FC, who are making their first-ever appearance in the semifinals.
The first leg of both matchups will take place this coming weekend.
Reports indicate that Sundowns will host Al Ahly at Loftus Versfeld on Saturday, April 19, at 15:00, with the return leg in Cairo on Friday, April 25.
Sundowns have recently favored afternoon kick-offs for their home Champions League matches.
As for the other semifinal, Orlando Pirates will welcome Pyramids FC to FNB Stadium for the first leg on Saturday at 18:00.
The second leg will be held the following Friday evening in Cairo at the Air Defense Stadium.
Pyramids FC remains the only team yet to win the Champions League, and they will be looking to make history as they face Pirates.
