Mexico Reveals 23-Man Squad for World Cup in Brazil
Miguel Herrera, coach of the Mexican national football team, unveiled the final 23-man squad for the 2014 World Cup in Brazil on Friday, featuring a mix of experienced players and emerging talent. Despite limited playing time at Manchester United, Javier “Chicharito” Hernandez has been included in the squad, as has Guillermo Ochoa, the experienced goalkeeper from Ajaccio in France.
The squad also sees the inclusion of Alan Pulido, the hero of Mexico’s qualification campaign, while notable absentees include Villarreal’s Javier Aquino. Key players such as Giovani dos Santos, Oribe Peralta, and captain Rafael Marquez are all present, with the team boasting a solid mix of defensive stability, midfield creativity, and attacking firepower.
