Ghana’s national team coach, Kwesi Appiah, has unveiled a preliminary squad of 26 players for the upcoming 2014 World Cup in Brazil. The squad includes a mix of experienced veterans and promising young talent, with notable inclusions like Kevin-Prince Boateng, Andre Ayew, Michael Essien, Sulley Muntari, and Asamoah Gyan.

One of the newer faces in the squad is Leicester City’s Kevin Schlupp, who has impressed in his debut Premier League season. Rabiu Mohammed, who missed out due to injury in the qualifying matches, makes a return to the team.

Goalkeeper Stephen Adams, who has been in fine form in the local championship and impressed during the recent CHAN tournament, has also been included in the squad.
