In the 2013 Osaka Marathon held in the western Japanese city on Sunday, Kenyan runner Jackson Limo emerged victorious. Clocking in at two hours, 12 minutes, and six seconds, the 29-year-old crossed the finish line, narrowly beating Mongolian Ser-Od Bat-Ochir, who completed the race in two hours, 13 minutes, and 31 seconds. The two international athletes maintained a significant lead over the rest of the field.
Japan’s Atsushi Hasegawa secured the third position with a time of two hours, 15 minutes, and 53 seconds.
On the women’s side, Monica Jepkoech from Kenya claimed the top spot, completing the marathon in two hours, 39 minutes, and 23 seconds.
The race saw participation from a diverse range of runners, including nearly 142 teenagers and 1,991 individuals aged 60 and above.
