Despite trailing behind Fenerbahce in the standings, Galatasaray is holding firm, with Drogba playing a pivotal role. At 35 years old, the veteran center forward continues to demonstrate his value on the pitch. Following his goal for his national team against Belgium earlier in the week (2-2), Drogba first found the net by heading in a corner to open the scoring. He then capitalized on a defensive lapse to extend his team’s lead to 3.
Furthermore, Drogba displayed his unselfishness by providing two assists during the match. His first assist set up his teammate Burak Yilmaz, while his second forced defender Bruno Mezenga to score an own goal.
