Ghanaian striker Zubairu Ibrahim is strengthening his case for a place in the Black Stars squad with standout performances in the Serbian Super League for Partizan Belgrade.
The forward has been instrumental in his club’s strong campaign, scoring nine goals in 23 appearances this season. Alongside Nemanja Nikolic and Bibras Natcho, Ibrahim has played a key role in Partizan’s push for second place, with the club currently on 53 points.
His consistent displays have positioned him as one of the most in-form Ghanaian players abroad, raising his profile ahead of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.
The 21-year-old’s form could make him a valuable asset for Ghana as they prepare to face Chad and Madagascar in March.
With national team coach Otto Addo expected to announce his squad soon, Ibrahim’s performances have not gone unnoticed.
“Zubairu has shown great quality and consistency in front of goal this season,” a source close to the player told local media.
“He could definitely be an option for the Black Stars in the upcoming qualifiers.”
If selected, Ibrahim would be making his first senior appearance for Ghana, adding fresh attacking options to the squad as they aim to secure a spot at the 2026 World Cup. His recent form suggests he could play a significant role in Ghana’s bid for qualification.
